At heart I am a perfectionist. I strive to make sure that every aspect of the task is finished to the highest quality. I measure success in all aspects of my life by results, not hours.
My attention to detail isn’t simply a skill, its part of who I am. I hold myself to the highest possible standard and constantly ask ‘what more can I do to improve?‘.
The secret is that I care about the work I produce and I want it to do well. It means I want to be proud of the things I create, regardless of whether that is an analysis of the geopolitical situation of the Arctic, a Twitter thread explaining the ramifications of WTO-tariffs, a resource pack on social media marketing, or a simple email that will go out to 2 million people.
Nothing will ever be perfect, but I will write, rewrite, proofread, edit, and tinker until I get to a standard that I’m happy to put my name on.
