Why am I doing this?

Simply put there is a global pandemic. I have graduated in the middle of it.

The first time I heard Covid-19 mentioned I was in a seminar with my classmates. We were talking about the public perception of masks and their use in a Chinese city called Wuhan, a few thousand miles away.

Six months later, I am on the verge of graduating. I am graduating into what some have labelled as the worst economic downturn since records began. Although I am loathe to be dramatic, it is hard to be ignorant of the precariousness of my situation.

Organisations across the country (and indeed the globe) are buttoning down: those that are hiring have a wealth of candidates to choose from thanks to spiralling unemployment figures. To be perfectly candid, this endeavour is my attempt to control the damage Covid-19 will do to my future prospects.
